NPPR deadline fast approaching
With the deadline of the 31 August 2014 fast approaching, Donegal County Council is urging all property owners who have yet to pay their NPPR liability to register and pay the charge as soon as possible.
The NPPR charge was payable for the years 2009 – 2013 on a residential property that was not a Principal Private Residence in County Donegal.
The principal charge and late penalty fees for the years 2009 to 2013 is now €4,220. From the 2nd March 2014, no new late payment penalties have been applied to the amount of €4,220 that is outstanding however, from the 1st September 2014 the amount of €4,220 will increase to €7,230 and will remain frozen at this amount”.
The Council is urging all property owners who have yet to register and pay their NPPR liability to do so before the 31st August 2014.
Donegal County Council is actively identifying property owners who may have a NPPR liability using data provided by the Revenue Commissioners and will be pursuing these outstanding charges.
